CRVWWDA is a government agency responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing national public water works in the Central Rift Valley region. The Manager, Internal Audit leads the internal audit function, providing independent assurance on governance, risk management, and internal controls across the Agency.
Key Responsibilities
•Oversee development, implementation and review of audit policies, strategies, standards and guidelines
•Provide independent assurance on risk management processes on both design and operation
•Spearhead audit assignments in line with the approved audit work plan
•Coordinate monitoring and reporting on the Agency's overall risk profile
•Initiate information systems audit engagements including testing, evaluation of programs, quality assurance, and reporting
•Oversee preparation of audit reports and analyses that communicate results for business conditions and risk controls
•Initiate special audits and investigations and ensure follow-up mechanisms are established
•Manage implementation of new technologies and business applications
Requirements
✓Cumulative service period of fifteen (15) years' work experience; three (3) years should have been in a supervisory role or in a comparable position in the Public Service or Private Sector
✓Bachelor's Degree in any of the following disciplines: Accounting, Finance or Business Administration (Finance and Accounting option) or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution
✓Master's Degree in any of the following disciplines: Business Administration (Accounting/Finance Option) or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution
✓Certified Public Accountant of Kenya CPA(K) or its equivalent
✓Registered member of ICPAK and or CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) OR be a Member of the IIA/ISPAK and in good standing
✓Leadership course weeks from a recognized Institution
✓Demonstrated managerial, administrative, and professional competence in work performance and results
✓Exhibited a thorough understanding of national goals, policies, objectives and ability to relate them to the Agency's mandate
✓Proficiency in computer applications
