Laikipia University is a Public Chartered University near Nyahururu. The ICT Officer II (System/Programme Developer) contributes to the development of software, web, and multimedia applications to improve business efficiencies through technology.

Key Responsibilities

•Prepare software code procedures as required by product definition for system and software development

•Troubleshoot computer applications and oversee security risks through regular check-ups

•Participate in procurement of ICT software and equipment through provision of specifications

•Manage and maintain applications and codes through documentation

•Participate in implementation of disaster recovery plans through back-ups and documentation

•Maintain, repair and upgrade computer software in line with current ICT professional practices

•Diagnose and fix problems with computer applications in line with ICT documented procedures

•Test and gather feedback using software testing tools to improve software quality

•Participate in development of applications development proposals and documentation

Requirements

✓A Bachelor's degree in ICT or related field

✓Registration with a relevant professional body

✓Experience: Three [3] years' of experience as an ICT Officer III or its equivalent in public or private sector
