About

Laikipia University is a Public Chartered University near Nyahururu. The ICT Officer II (System Networking) contributes to ICT network strategy, manages LAN/WAN infrastructure, and provides networking expertise to the Director ICT.

Key Responsibilities

•Monitor and evaluate ICT network programs in line with applicable ICT policies

•Manage ICT network projects to completion through regular supervision

•Prepare and present monthly and annual ICT network reports to the principal ICT officer

•Participate in formulation of ICT network policies in consultation with other officers

•Install, configure and support LAN, WAN, internet devices, and network systems

•Implement disaster recovery plans through backup management

•Troubleshoot networks and information security risks using special network monitoring tools

•Participate in management, upgrade, monitoring and maintenance of network devices

Requirements

✓A Bachelor's degree in ICT or related field

✓Registration with a relevant professional body

✓Experience: Three [3] years' of experience as an ICT Officer III or its equivalent in public or private sector
