About

CRVWWDA is a government agency responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing national public water works in the Central Rift Valley region. The Engineer I (Civil) conducts feasibility studies, detailed design, and construction of water infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

•Participate in detailed investigations for water development projects, carrying out feasibility studies and detailed design

•Participate in feasibility or technical studies to establish water potential of new sites and areas

•Prepare project proposals and concept notes as well as project prioritization

•Monitor implementation and timely delivery of all outsourced water planning and design projects

•Ensure compliance with water standards, codes of practice, and environmental and social safeguards guidelines

•Design projects, prepare costings and budgetary preparations, and document and manage contracts

•Prepare technical specifications and evaluate tenders for vehicles, plant and equipment

•Track construction schedules and associated costs

Requirements

✓Cumulative service period of three (3) years relevant work experience as an Engineer II or in a comparable position

✓Bachelor Degree in any of the following disciplines: Civil Engineering, Water Engineering, Structural Engineering or any other relevant qualification from a recognized institution

✓Registered with the Engineers Board of Kenya

✓Proficiency in computer applications
